DUSHANBE, March 13, 2012, Asia-Plus  — The Ministry of Defense (MoD) has organized training courses for city mayors on mobilization and organization of the territorial defense.

Faridoun Mahmadaliyev, a spokesman for a MoD, says chairpersons of Dushanbe’s districts and mayors of the cities subordinate to the center and the cites of the southern Khatlon attended the training courses that were held at the Dushanbe and Khatlon garrisons from March 10 to March 12.

The training courses were conducted by officers from the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Mobile Forces of the Ministry of Defense and law enforcement agencies, Mahmadaliyev noted.
