First session of the ‘Kuknor-2012’ operation’s headquarters was held on May 16 in the Tajik Drug Control Agency under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Director of the agency Vaisiddin Azamatov who heads of the republican headquarters.

According to DCA, the session discussed organizational issues of ‘Kuknor-2012’ operation and cooperation between ministries and departments involved in the operation.

The session approved ‘Kuknor-2012’ operation’s action plan, which includes organization of cooperation with law enforcement structures for development of joint actions on blocking trafficking channels, generalization of information about illegal turnover of drug and identification of objects for implementation of the operation, reveal and destroy wildly growing drug-containing crops and etc.

The session was attended by law enforcement officials, representatives of ministries of culture, health, customs service, national security committee, TV and radio committee.

‘Kuknor-2012’ is an annual operation which is carried out in Tajikistan. This year the operation will be launched on May 20 and will end on November 30.
