KHUAJND, July 4, 2012, Asia-Plus — Ghaybullo Nasrulloyev, 47, resident of the Qalai Baland jamoat, Sughd’s Istaravshan district has been detained on suspicion of having committed dual murder.
An official source at the Sughd police directorate says Ghaybullo Nasrulloyev allegedly killed his wife and his daughter-in-law with an axe Tuesday night following family quarrel.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Nasrulloyev under the provisions of Article 104 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal code – murder; an investigation is under way.
According to the statistical data from the Sughd police directorate, 16 murders have been reported in the provinces over the first five months o this year.
