DUSHANBE, September 13, 2012, Asia-Plus — Officers from the Sughd police directorate have seized a large amount of heroin.
Interior Ministry’s official website reports that an operation carried out by police officers in the northern city of Chkalovsk on September 12 led to the arrest of local resident Jumakhon Nourov, 33, on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing. Three packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing more than 4.3 kilograms were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug peddler and n investigation is under way.
