DUSHANBE, December 19, 2014, Asia-Plus – In January-November 2014, Tajikistan has produced a total of more than 9.2 billion somoni (equivalent to some 1.7 billion U.S. dollars) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to the same period of the last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods has amounted to 105 percent.

Processing industry has reportedly accounted for 65.2 percent of the overall volume of industrial goods produced over the first eleven months of this year, enterprises producing and distributing electrical power, natural gas and water have accounted for 20.9 percent and mining industry has accounted for 13.9 percent.

Of 1,183 industrial enterprises registered in the country 157 enterprises have not been in operation over the report period. 

Of the 90 basic types of industrial products the output of 33 has increased in January-November this year, and the output of 44 items has decreased over the same eleven-month period.  Thirteen basic types of industrial products have not been manufactured over the report period.
