Regional theater of musical comedy named after Ato Muhammejanov was put into operation today, August 25, in Kurgan-Tyube with the participation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon.

As reports a press-service of the President of the RT, a new theatre was built for over 26 million somoni of budgetary funds; its capacity for 800 people.

The President praised the quality of construction and called the new cultural object a worthy gift to the creative team for the 25th anniversary of the state independence of Tajikistan.

It is noted that the construction of the musical comedy theater named after Ato Muhammejonov began in 2014.

There are 20 offices in the theatre, place for rehearsals of artists, dressing rooms, rooms for keeping stage clothes, a canteen and rest room for the artists.
