Three residents of Dushanbe have been convicted of brutally killing woman and dismembering her body.

The Dushanbe city court sentenced Ismatullo Muhammadiyev, Darvesh Abdurahimov and Nouriddin Alibayev to prison terms between 19 and 2 years on December 6.

Ismatullo Muhammadiyev got a jail term of 19 years, Darvesh Abdurahimov was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and Nouriddin Alibayev got a jail term of 21 years.

Recall, dismembered woman’s body was found on the bank of the Dushanbinka River in the evening of July 29, 2016.

The killed woman was identified as the 23-year-old resident of Roudaki district, Fotima Boymurzayeva.  The crime was reportedly solved immediately.  

An official source at the Prosecutor-General’s Office says Ismatullo Muhammadiyev, Darvesh Abdurahimov and Nouriddin Alibayev killed Fotima Boymurzayeva on July 27.  “They dismembered her body and threw it in the Dushanbinka River,” the source said.
