There are few countries left in the world that the novel coronavirus COVID-19 has not yet reached.  In the Central Asian region Coronavirus cases are continuing to increase as well.

In neighboring Uzbekistan, 167 new cases of coronavirus were reported on April 14, bringing a total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 1,165, REGNUM news agency reported, citing Uzbekistan’s Health Ministry.  99 patients have reportedly recovered Four coronavirus-linked deaths have been reported in Uzbekistan as of 9:00 pm of April 14.   

Radio Liberty’s Kazakh Service, known locally as Radio Azzatyk, says that according to data from the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, 1,275 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country as of 9:30 am of April 15, while 203 patients have recovered. Fifteen coronavirus-linked deaths have been reported in Kazakhstan as of 9:30 am of April 15.     

Kyrgyz new agency AKIPress reports that 449 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country as of April 15.  78 patients have reportedly recovered.  Five coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in Kyrgyzstan as of April 15.  

Meanwhile, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan have not reported any confirmed infections yet.
