DUSHANBE, August 4, Asia-Plus  — On August 7, President Emomali Rahmon will leave for Beijing to attend a ceremony of an official opening of the 2008 Olympic Games. 

We will recall that Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi told journalists in Dushanbe on July 26, following his meeting with President Rahmon, that China is looking forward to participation of the Tajik president at a ceremony of opening of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI), during his stay in Beijing, President Rahmon is expected to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart, President Hu Jintao, and senior representatives of Chinese companies, including Zijin Mining, which now assumes the 75 percent ownership interest in the Zeravshan Gold Company (ZGC).
