The volume of money transfer from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$2.052 billion in 2009, the Central Bank of Russia said.

Average transaction sum from Russia to Uzbekistan comprised US$574, the Central Bank said in its statement.

The Russian bank said about US$229 million was transferred from Uzbekistan to Russia, while average sum per transactions made up US$1,382.

Uzbekistan leads on the volume of transactions among the CIS states. Tajikistan and Ukraine followed Uzbekistan. Tajikistan received remittances for US$1.724 billion and Ukraine – US$1.339 billion in the reporting period.
