DUSHANBE, April 13, 2009, Asia-Plus — On Saturday April 11, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev signed a resolution on allocation of funds for construction of a new school in Dushanbe’s Kamoli Khujandi mahalla (community).
According to Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, the school to accommodate 660 pupils is expected to be finished by 2011, when the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence is marked.
The mayor’s office has allotted 1.4 hectares of land for construction of the school and the budget for the project to construct this school will be determined after holding of an appropriate tender. The Dushanbe authorities will announce the tender at the end of April, the spokesman said.
