A new frontier post called “Aksuv” of the Kaahka border unit was put into operation in Akhal province of Turkmenistan. The new frontier post boasts both purely service and social facilities, as well as administrative buildings, barracks and warehouses. There are all conditions for border service, combat training and physical training, as well as good rest and life of border guards and their families. There are also a library and sport grounds.

As the press service of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan reports, the new facility was built as part of the military reform, a significant aspect of which is the creation of modern living and service conditions for border guards in accordance with international standards.

In the past year there were inaugurated three similar facilities such as “Bitaraplyk” frontier post of the Ashgabat border unit, “Yashlyk” frontier post of the same Kaahka border unit and “Garabogaz” border customs post. New facilities have organically supplemented border infrastructure of Turkmenistan, making it more efficient. The modernization of this infrastructure will be continued, the State Border Service of Turkmenistan said.
