KHUJAND, July 24, 2010, Asia-Plus — The 17-year-old resident of Khujand, Emomali Abdulloyev, was detained at the “Bakhtiyor” Café in Khujand on Friday (July 23) on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing, according to the Sughd police directorate.

A package of narcotic drug that was tested positive to heroin weighing 1.172 kilograms was confiscated from him.    

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Abdulloyev under the provisions of Article 200, part 4 (drug trafficking) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code and an investigation is under way, the source said.
