Deputies of the Lower Chamber of Tajikistan’s Parliament will explain the idea of the Tajik President’s Annual Message to Parliament to the population.

Today’s session of the Parliamentary Council has approved the draft resolution of the Lower Chamber “On working trip of deputies of Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli to cities and regions of the republic for explanation of this year’s Annual Message of Tajikistan’s President to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan to the population.”

Deputies are scheduled to conduct meetings with voters in a period from April 26 to May 6 this year, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli Muhammadato Sultonov told AP.

The Lower Chamber Council’s session, which was presided over by its speaker Shukurjon Zukhurov, considered preparation for ratification of the CIS Air Defense Agreement, which specifies actions for on-duty officers in case of aircraft hijacking.

The agreement was signed by CIS leaders on September 3, 2011, in Dushanbe. The document was signed by leaders of all 11 CIS member states.

Muhammadato Sultonov noted that focusing on the importance of military cooperation in the field of the use and protection of airspace, members of the Parliamentary Council urged to develop this sphere to ensure safe use of airspace, counteract terrorism and provide a universal approach to organization of actions of on-duty officers from CIS member states in case of aircraft hijacking.
