DUSHANBE, October 2, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Four traffic accidents that were reported in Tajikistan on Monday have left six dead and at least five others injured.

According to the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate, three persons were killed and two others injured in a traffic accident that took place in the northern city of Qairoqqum.  “Jovid Mahmadjonov, 26, failed to control his Mercedes and ran it into a tree,” said the source, “The driver and two his passengers died on the spot while two other passengers sustained various injuries and were taken to a central hospital in Qairoqqum.”

Another fatal traffic accident was reported in the southern Khatlon province.  The accident took place eon the highway from Danghara to Qirghon Teppa.  “Nexia driven by Jumakhon Sharipov, 27, went into oncoming traffic and collided with Opel-Astra driven by Muhabbat Kholmatov, 61,” said the source.  “One passenger was killed and both drivers and one passenger were injured in the accident.”

Two other fatal traffic accidents took place in the Vahdat Township, some 20 kilometers east of Dushanbe.  Two persons were killed n those accidents.
