DUSHANBE, October 4, 2012, Asia-Plus – A special operation by officers from the Dushanbe police directorate has reportedly led to the seizure of a large amount of hashish.
According to the Interior Ministry’s official website, the 24-year-old resident of GBAO’s Vanj district, Iskandar Farmonbekov, was detained on October 3 in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing. Some eight kilograms of hashish were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
