DUSHANBE, October 5, 2012, Asia-Plus – Drug control officers have reportedly seized more than 160 kilograms of narcotics in the southern Khatlon province.

The Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s press center reports that special operations carried out by the drug control officers in Shouroobod and Qumsangir district on October 4 led to the seizure of several sacks of narcotics that tested positive to cannabis weighing more than 102 kilograms and hashish weighing 58 kilograms.

The Drug Control Agency has instituted criminal proceedings and an investigation is under way.
