DUSHANBE, December 12, 2014, Asia-Plus — New Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Azamsho Sharifi presented a copy of his credentials to the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulaziz bin Abdullah on December 11.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
We will recall that Azamsho Sharifi, 56, formerly head of the Department for International Cooperation at President’s Executive Office, was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last month, replacing Abdullo Yuldoshev.
Abdullo Yuldoshev, who was also Tajikistan’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), was retired for age reasons.
