The number of recipients of a presidential scholarship among schools students has been increased by 110.  Meanwhile, the number of recipients of presidential scholarships among students at vocational and technical schools has been reduced by 10. 

Appropriate changes have been made to the regulations on presidential scholarship program for students of general high schools as well as basic and secondary vocational and technical schools of August 1, 2015. 

In accordance with amendments made to the regulations on May 28 this year, presidential scholarships will be awarded to 350 school students, 25 students at basic vocational and technical schools and 25 students at secondary vocational and technical schools.

Before that, 240 students of general high school and 60 students of vocational and technical schools had received presidential scholarships.

The monthly rate of the presidential scholarship for students of general high school, lyceums and vocation and technical schools is set at 491.00 somoni.
