In Tajikistan, three years ago, the Concept of Providing Free Legal Aid was adopted, one of the provisions of which is the creation of permanent state legal bureaus in all regions of the country. They are created and work.

There is such a bureau in the border area of Jaihun – the former Kumsangir; here she works as a lawyer graduate of the Tajik National University – Saidbegim Mirzoshohzoda.

At school, Saidbegim Mirzoshohzoda studied well, so she already knew to high school that she would continue her studies and applied for a presidential quota . Thanks to knowledge, the quota was obtained, for five years Saidbegim lived in the capital, got a lawyer education, got friends and acquaintances .

– After the university, scholars usually have to work in their district for three years, but they forgot about me for some reason. I got a job at Tadjikmatlubot in Dushanbe . But when I found out about the vacancy in Jaihun, I decided to repay the debt to the district myself – Saidbegim says.

And she realized that it would bring more benefits to her countrymen in the province the more it was necessary to work as a free lawyer, that means everyone will be able to come to her .

With what questions do customers turn to Saidbegim? Almost nothing unusual for the village .

Women who suffered from domestic violence remained with children in their arms and without means of livelihood, because husbands left for Russia and did not return, or the women did not get along with the husband's relatives, or the husband began to beat,  could not stand the strength; which only does not happen in families.

Women are one of the main categories of Saidbegim clients; they often can not tell anyone about their troubles except a free lawyer. Here she listens to them, and then, together with them, achieves justice.

The second category is customers who have problems with land.

But there are unique cases .

– Of course, women are more often subjected to domestic violence, but sometimes in Tajikistan men also suffer from domestic violence . Recently a son and a father came to me, it turned out that they were expelled from the  house by stepmother. Sold a cow without her husband's permission . My client wanted to get at least part of the profit from the sale. But his wife spent all the money on a paid lawyer, so he wrote a statement, represented her interests in court . They also lived in the same house, she mocked them and this is also considered domestic violence, only psychological. The husband is 77 years old, the wife is 30 years old, and she took advantage of her youth . We wrote the application to the court, it is under consideration – Saidbegim says.

The State Law Office is operating in Jaihun for 2.5 years , for this time 1,5 thousand persons have addressed here. Lawyer – Saidbegim Mirzoshohzoda deals with almost all the same cases as private specialists. Just totally free.
