Current account of the balance of payment for the period of January-September 2008 reached US$ 9 billion, Anvar Saidenov, Chairman of the National Bank told yesterday.

It is connected primarily with “record indices of trade balance”. “Export of goods was equal to US$ 57 billion (66% growth) and import – US$ 29 billion (18% growth). As a result trade balance reached US$ 28 billion,” he said.

According to Saidenov, net capital outflow was equal to US$ 4 billion 800 million for 9 months of 2008.

In the whole surplus of the balance of payment was equal to US$ 4 billion 300 million for this period. In spite of energy prices fall National Bank expects surplus of current account in the amount of US$ 7.8 billion.
