Tajik Minister of Energy and Industry Gul Sherali met Thursday with the Chinese People’s Council’s delegation for energy issues.

Gul Sherali informed the visiting delegates about current energy conditions and energy potential of the country, about energy problems in autumn and winter period and energy surplus in summer period, about construction of hydropower plants and CASA-1000 regional energy project. He said it would be reasonable to establish cooperation between the two countries in these directions.

The visiting delegates focused on the importance of the proposed projects in the frameworks of bilateral cooperation and in the frameworks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The sides have expressed their satisfaction over the results of the meeting and urged for further expansion of cooperation in energy and industry sector.
