President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the United Kingdom”s Minister of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, and Deputy Leader of the House of Lords, Lord Philip Hunt, on March 2.

According to the official report, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues relating to the prospects for further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom, primarily in the energy sphere.

As the correspondent reports, on the same day, Philip Hunt, who arrived in Ashgabat leading a high profile delegation of his country, took part in the second of the Turkmen-British Energy Business Forum.

The forum was attended by representatives of the Department of Energy and Climate Change and the British Foreign Office, leading British oil and gas and service companies, educational institutions. The Turkmen side was represented by leaders and experts of the major oil and gas departments and enterprises.
