The 2nd sitting of the Kazakh-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation took place in Budapest on March 9. Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov headed the Kazakh delegation; Kazinform refers to the Ministry”s press service.

The sides held effective consultations on the issues of bilateral relations. They discussed a wide array of topics regarding Kazakh-Hungarian cooperation as the improvement of a legal regulatory framework; industrial and innovative and scientific cooperation; collaboration in healthcare industry; interaction in the field of agriculture, transport, education, tourism and sport; development of small and medium business; preparation for the 1st sitting of the Kazakh-Hungarian Business Council.

A final protocol was signed upon the results of the meeting.

Minister Sultanov also held a meeting with Hungarian National Development and Economy Minister Istvan Varga. The parties exchanged information of the economic situation in the two states.
