Tajik-Belarusian gardens are expected to be laid out in Brest and Gomel regions of Belarus.  Planting stocks from Tajikistan will be used for laying these gardens.

This issue was discussed at a meeting of Tajik Ambassador to Belarus Mahmadsharif Haqdod with Belarusian First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Yeudachenka that took place in Minsk on December 17, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

The two sides reportedly also discussed issues related to organization of high-level visits, holding of the 13th session of Tajikistan-Belarus commission for trade and economic cooperation, Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Belarus and an exhibition of goods of Tajik producers in Minsk in 2019.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus were established on September 5, 1996.

The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan has functioned in the capital of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk, since 1997 and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus has operated in Dushanbe since 2011.

At the present stage, Tajik-Belarusian relations are characterized by a high level of development both on bilateral and multilateral basis.

Trade and economic relations between the two countries are focused on the need of organizing direct supply of raw materials, products and consumer goods, as well as the development of relations between the regional and economic entities.
